  • Industrial Augmented Reality Use-Case Taxonomy
    11:40 AM - 12:00 PM Jun 2
Newport News Shipbuilding is an early adopter of industrial Augmented Reality. After many pilots and projects, the company is preparing the first large scale roll-out of AR technology for industrial use. In this presentation we will discuss the use-case approach and terminology from Newport News Shipbuilding’s perspective, and discuss how return-on-investment and technology-readiness-levels are assessed and managed prior to a deployment. Several specific examples of new AR projects at NNS will illustrate the approach. We will conclude with discussion of principle challenges associated with industrial augmented reality.
