Satheesh Subramanian heads the engineering for Blippar's AR Platforms & Services group that delivers the AR content creation tools, blipp management consoles, developer API and data analytics. He has over 18 years of experience working on interactive and non-interactive media and tools development. Satheesh previously headed the R&D organization for DreamWorks Animation in Bangalore, India, and has over 10 movie credits to his name including the Oscar nominated "How to Train your Dragon", "Kung Fu Panda" and "Madagascar" series. He served as a senior technical consultant at Intel Corporation targeting mobile performance in the gaming industry and led the product development of the first-of-its-kind SDK for mobile gaming.
Satheesh holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management, UCLA, specializing in entrepreneurship and entertainment management. He received an Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago specializing in use of video based avatars in social VR at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory, the birthplace of the CAVE Virtual reality system. He also holds a Masters degree in Mathematics and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani.
