Jacob Ervin is an industry veteran who’s been developing mixed reality experiences since 2009. He currently works as a technical lead for Occipital, bridging spatial computing and MR with a focus on human interaction. Understanding our physical environment and how it connects us is a prerequisite for presence in this emerging medium.

How can we help developers transition from traditional marker-based AR into creating highly-interactive mixed reality experiences? Recently, we invited a dozen brave developers to dive headfirst into this world at its early stages – and what transpired was both inspiring and revealing. In this talk, we'll describe the private beta launch of Occipital's Bridge Engine for mixed reality, and we'll share the results of what developers were able to achieve after just a few short days.
