After serving as a Developer Relations Specialist at Oculus, Shauna Heller launched Clay Park, the first VR strategy and advisory agency for institutions, corporations and developers. At Oculus, Shauna managed engagement with non-gaming VR developers across education, enterprise, advertising, music and medicine. The work included many hours in VR reviewing content, coaching developers on best practices for creating VR apps, and how to ship content on the platform. After Oculus Shauna assumed four Board of Advisor positions with developers doing compelling work in VR and has been tapped to advise initiatives focused on introducing the mediums of 360° video and virtual reality into education and enterprise apps. Prior to Oculus, Shauna was an LA-based director of business development for boutique creative tech companies working with partners spanning entertainment, advertising, major theme parks and beyond.

With education, enterprise and medicine poised to be the breakout stars of virtual reality, Heller departed to launch the VR agency, Clay Park, to help steer purposeful development and guide top developers in these fields. In addition to this work, Heller also advises large brands and corporations on creating compelling content that will make an impact on the medium and help drive broad adoption of VR and set themselves up for success in AR. In this session, Heller shares her findings on the current state of non-gaming VR, offers pro tips and insights for creating enterprise apps and discusses trends in VR and AR development for the second half of 2016 and beyond.
