Jim Novack began his professional career in California while finishing his Electrical Engineering bachelor´s degree at UCLA in 1980 providing consulting in the purchase and application of the then brand-new “Personal Computers”, and later as Director of International Production and Marketing and Sales in Europe for Kaypro Corporation. Kaypro was one of the first transportable computers, and Jim led the project to adapt it for use in 9 european languages with keyboards and display characters with accents. To promote it, Jim participated in the ’82 Paris-Dakar as responsible for the computers used by the team of emergency doctors, to instantly locate compatible donors among the racing teams for field blood transfusions. Living in Los Angeles, during a time that he cared for his Grandmother, he left the toilet seat up, and the next morning, while she was scolding him for his lack of consideration, he invented the Beep Seat, a small device that is applied to the bottom of the toilet seat and sounds an alarm when the toilet seat is left up, reminding men of the courtesy of lowering it and saving women from an unexpected and unpleasant dip in the bowl. Jim negotiated its production in Hong Kong, designed the marketing and publicity campaign and appearing on numerous TV and radio programs including CNN resulting in sales of over 300.000 units. In June 2000 he moved his family to Spain for its quality of life and as the CEO for the ABC Newspaper real estate portal Avenida.com he created the first successful real estate portal in Spain, creating a network of over 1.200 real estate agencies with over 100,000 available properties, after which he took on the management of Dynatec, as CEO. The recent startup created by Jim Novack, Talent Swarm, has been awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Red.es and the ICEX as one of the 12 best technological initiatives in Spain. Talent Swarm was also selected as one of the Top 10 European Tech Companies, sponsored by Red Herring magazine. It has recently been registered as a Delaware corp. here in the United States as part of its growth plan. As well as his role as a Global Engineering Talent Recruiter, Jim is actively promoting Talent Swarm® and eyebee® Remote Expert as a Social Entrepreneur, using the best technology to for companies to effectively access the global talent pool. This avoids the brain drain of emerging countries by allowing their qualified people to work remotely immersed in Mixed Reality worlds.
